In the podcast Goponygo number 5, which has just been talking about instant messaging clients for Symbian, among other things, and we name Fringe.

Now the company has announced and released their client for Android that, unlike that of Symbian, has a graphical interface consistent with the management of the terminal.

Android device users can now join fring (we know that we have missed as many of you recently have moved to Android devices), with free VoIP calls via Skype, MSN and GoogleTalk with hundreds of suppliers. As always be able to enjoy live chat with ICQ, Yahoo! and AIM and use Twitter as an integrated part of your contact list. Fring on Android works with 3G, GPRS or WiFi connection.

Allows VOIP, but not in Spain with Skype. Fortunately we can easily configure other services.

Just a little question ... How is it that enables VoIP in Spain but not with Skype?

Any site where you indicate this?

stickman, the link is in the news, in the end, you can read this:

"The calls to landlines, mobiles or any of your Skype contacts via Skype only available in Australia, Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo), Denmark, Estonia, Finland, New Zealand, Poland, United Kingdom and Sweden. "

Yeah, but that's for Skype Lite, which is not a VoIP application. What use is an access number through which calls are made for Skype users.

That is the reason that only becomes available in those countries and that the call cost at least, the call rate access number and then the skype rate if calling a number outside the Skype network.

Fring uses its own network to access skype, so what makes the application useless for skype lite does not apply.
